Question 1

What are electrolytes mainly for?

  1. 1 Your needs
  2. 2 Your preferences
  3. 3 Your match

How the finder picks your match

  • Step 1

Start with what you use them for

Training, heat, keto or everyday: your first answer decides which follow-up question you see, so you only answer what matters for you.

  • Step 2

    Every product is checked

We compare your answers with the sodium, potassium, magnesium, sugar and sweetener figures from each product's label, plus today's price and stock. Anything you've ruled out, like stevia or sugar, is left out completely.

  • Step 3

    A match and two alternatives

Each comes with the reasons it fits, a side by side comparison, and a link you can keep, share or have emailed to you.

Questions about the finder

How does the Electrolyte Finder choose a product?

It scores every electrolyte we stock that's in stock and has checked label data, about 200 products. Your first answer sets what the product is for, and the follow-up question sets the sodium level we look for. Products that don't fit a firm answer (stevia, sweeteners or sugar you've ruled out) are left out. The rest are ranked on the things you said matter most, up to three in order, such as taste ratings, cost per serve, portability or Australian made. We recommend a range rather than one flavour, so you can pick the flavour and pack size you like, or a variety pack to try several.

Do brands pay to be recommended?

No. No brand pays for a place in the finder. Sales popularity only breaks ties between products that fit your answers equally well, and it can never outrank something you asked for.

What do the sodium levels mean?

We group products by sodium per serve: lighter (under 200mg), moderate (about 200 to 500mg), high (about 600 to 800mg) and very high (around 1,000mg). The finder uses your answer about sweat, time in the heat or how you eat to choose the level, and shows the exact figure for every product it suggests.

Why didn't a product I like come up?

The finder shows one range per brand, only includes products that are in stock, and leaves out sample packs and single sticks. A product can also drop out because of a firm answer, for example if it contains stevia and you'd rather avoid it. You can compare any products yourself with the compare tool.

Can I come back to my result?

Yes. This browser remembers your last match, and every result has a link you can save or share. The link always re-checks today's prices and stock. You can also have your match emailed to you.

Is this medical advice?

No. The finder is a guide based on your answers about how you use electrolytes and what you like. If you have specific medical sodium or fluid requirements, talk to a qualified health professional first.
